After few days...

It is only one week ago when I arrived in that nice city of Cusco, but it feels like I'm here for several weeks already. The people around me feels like friends for a long time and the Spanish is coming back into my mind *whoopwhoop*

I tried to upload some pictures on that Homepage, but it didn't work, so I decided to do so on Facebook - feel free to follow there the visual impressions acc. to my BLOG. :-)

Last Sunday we did a full day trip to different places on the traces of the incas. We visited Pisaq, a nice city with some incas houses and stones nearby, passed through a lovely countryside further to Ollataytambo (more inca stones and terrazes) and in the end again to Chinchero, to see - exiting - more inca stones and a church. But the stop was worth it, as the sunset was so beautiful with the snowy mountains behind.

On Monday our Spanish course started, where we have 2 hours in the classroom and afterwards 2 hours visiting different things and talking in Spanish. We went to museums, to more inca stones and to - the highlight of today - to an alpaca/lama/vikunya farm. We were allowed to feed the animals and to stroke them - they are so fluffy!! After the lessons we did different things: shopping on the market, walking around the city, eating yummie ice cream and drinking delicious fresh fruit juices on the Market "San Pedro". We made interesting experiences with the taxis (smelling like gasoline, sitting in the backseats with 5 people, paying so little compared to Germany...), cooked and had dinner together at our HQ, tried pisco sour, went out for dancing and YES, I tried guinea pig (Cuy)!! I have to say it tastes very interesting, a bit like chicken, but there is nearly no meat on it and they serve you the whole animal fried on a plate together with some potatoes. A must do experience, but not to repeat for me. ^^

Tomorrow is the last Spanish course day and on Saturday we will do a tour to the rainbow mountain which starts at 3am... exhausting, but must be worth it! :-) Hope you are all doing fine?!

Un beso y un abrazo a todos!! <3
